Gadgeteers Summer Reading Challenge 2022 - Join Derby Libraries

Come and join the Gadgeteers, Summer Reading Challenge 2022.
A celebration of science and innovation, in partnership with the Science Museum Group. It’s for children aged 4 – 11 (but anyone can join in!).
Sign up at your local library, read any books of your choice and collect special stickers and other brilliant rewards along the way – all for FREE.

Taking part is easy. Sign up at your local library, choose your books and
collect your poster.

Every time you borrow some more books you will get a reward. From stickers
for your poster to bookmarks, paper games and fridge magnets!
Look out for fantastic displays in our libraries and special online bookshelves in our eLibrary.

Did you know that children’s reading can ‘dip’ during the summer holidays?
Taking part in the Reading Agency’s annual Summer Reading Challenge can
really help children return to school with:
• More enthusiasm about their reading
• Confidence with increased self-esteem
• Keen and ready to learn

Alongside the challenge Alvaston, Mickleover, Normanton and Riverside libraries will be hosting some fantastic events for children and families.

All events are FREE and will take place in Derby libraries - booking is essential, please book by calling the number of the library you wish to attend. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
