Yes. I agree that a name is very important. Christians and Jews also do the same in blessing upon their children a name that is very carefully chosen. It is written that the name has a prophetic purpose. The name Asher for instance means happy and blessed. What a great thing to live a life of happiness and blessing upon yourself and those you meet in your life-journey.

Super 👍🏻thanx for the video; however what about those Singhs who use western nicknames inspite of having a beautiful name? It’s pathetic to hear such shitty names like Happy, Sharry, shanky, etc 😣 even English will not use such names, and then names like Tinku, Rinku, Pinku, Nikku Etc are so foolish

Sad part of this is that Sikhs these days will keep asking you for your complete name unless you tell them you are "Jagdeep Singh Gill". If you tell them my name is "Jasbir Singh", they will say Pura Naam Ki Hega. This story has been told to me by another sikh and he was feeling sad that he is always forced to spell his surname which he does not want to say because he is a Amritdhari Sikh.
