How to Tie a Daisy Chain (for Cables)

Does this only work with a brand NEW cord???  I have tried this with an old cord that I untwisted and when I do it this way it does not come apart at all.  It is more of a mess than it was. I have to untwist every loop to get it undone.  So instead of paying $50 for a new cord I decided to loop it like I used and say screw this!!

This is fine for extension cords, but this will destroy anything suppose to carry a data signal, analogue or digital

Sorry in advance, but this is not an electrician's knot. I know because I am an electrician. Just loop that damn thing. This technique is MORE unsafe when laid out on the ground. It becomes a tripping hazard.

IN MY EXPERIENCE- People who don’t know the daisy chain method for power cords fight it so hard.

I’ve had 2 guys come to me at work to tell me not to roll them up that way anymore.

I guess I’ll have to reluctantly stop the daisy chain method from now on, for their convenience, and the sake of my job.
