Kant's idea that "the right has priority over the good" must be justified in his eyes by the fact that he believed in God right? How else could someone come to this conclusion. It seems much more clearer and sensical that one would lie to a murderer in order to prevent that murderer from killing one's child. In Kant's view, it is more important for one to tell the truth than to save their child from that murderer.

You know, this makes perfect sense for my first time watching. Of course I'll go deeper cause it's wise to double check. But as for the masturbation thing, I think the Lad has a good point there, even Animals don't masturbate. We were made in God's image and were given dominion over them... so why do something so low that even they don't do. It's like independence but in a way that removes color from the beautiful act of making love... Haha, Almost thought of it that way myself but Kant put it in a easy way to understand. I wanted to criticize Immanuel Kant on the YouTube philosophy forums... but who can criticize a face as ugly as the one you see when you open up what's on Wikipedia about the guy… yeah, yeah, you're going to say that Wikipedia is the be all and end all for shallow intellectuals… and I agree… so I went deep down into the bowel movements of the philosophical oeuvre… and I came up with such great off off comedic Broadway material that I completely fell off my philosophical perch…want to discuss Kant?
