In this video, I review the CPA exam rates for 2024 and provide an advice in which order to take the exam.

The CPA Exam pass rates for the first quarter of 2024 are as follows:
Auditing and Attestation (AUD): 44.63%
Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR): 41.92%
Regulation (REG): 63.42%
Business Analysis and Reporting (BAR): 42.94%
Information Systems and Controls (ISC): 50.93%
Tax Compliance and Planning (TCP): 82.36%.
The TCP section has the highest pass rate at 82.36%, which is notably higher than the other sections. This is a new discipline section introduced as part of the CPA Evolution changes, which also retired the BEC section at the end of 2023.
Historically, the average CPA Exam pass rate has fluctuated between 45% and 60% over the years. In 2023, pass rates for the four sections ranged from 43% to 59%, with BEC having the highest pass rate and FAR the lowest. The changes in the CPA Exam structure in 2024 are expected to influence future pass rates as candidates adjust to the new format

Very informative video. I liked - If you are prepared, exam is easy and if you are not prepared, exam will be difficult.

Are employers inquiring about which discipline exam section candidates take?

Should BAR passing rate continuously be behind the 2 other disciplines, will it cost takers not to choose it anymore, even those that likes acctg and reporting? It might defeat purpose of specialization.
