Recently, LC Sciences traveled to Philadelphia to take part in the American Association for Cancer Research’s annual meeting.

This meeting highlights the latest, most exciting discoveries in every area of cancer research and provides a unique opportunity for investigators from all over the world to meet, interact, and share their insights.

This is an exciting time for cancer research. Attendees at the AACR annual meeting, find ideas, people, and moments that provide them with renewed energy, inspiration, and focus in their cancer research work.

LC Sciences showcased our products and services related to cancer research, particularly our microRNA services were of interest, as microRNA has become an important topic in the field of cancer research.

This year’s scientific program included over 90 posters and presentations focusing on microRNA research in cancer research.

This year’s conference attendees learned that:

1. microRNAs regulate molecular pathways in cancer by targeting both oncogenes and tumour suppressors.

2. microRNAs have a role in cancer-stem-cell biology, angiogenesis, the epithelial–mesenchymal transition, metastasis, and drug resistance.

3. microRNA dysregulation is a crucial part of tumour formation, maintenance, and metastasis.

4. microRNAs play an essential part in malignancy, functioning as tumour suppressors and oncogenes.

We hope to see you at next year’s conference!
