That picture of the car broke my heart a little. It's definitely clear as you said that the person who owned it really loved it a lot. Seeing it at an auction, probably having been stolen and impounded, has got to be one of the most tragic things to happen.

My ex has a BRZ (I swear she loved that car more than me) and drove it from Flo-Ri-Da to Virginia with the summer tires still on it and attempted to drive it to work (she's a CCRN level 4 trauma nurse) in the snow and got stuck. I got her a set of Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06s and showed her how to drive with the traction control off when the weather gets bad and as soon as she figured out what that meant, she started drift around corners and I was all "You're gonna just light my $1, 500 on fire if you continue to do that." Ugh, she did what she wanted because money was no object to her.

My only real complaint about the car is that Flat 4 just feels super underpowered in its current configuration compared to the WRX, and it felt like it had more to give. I found our that Cosworth had a turning package that would increase it to 300 horsepower while still keeping it naturally aspirated. I presented that to her as a birthday gift, and she turned it down. I swear if she found this by herself she would have sprung for it.

Anyway, fun car, certainly has more to give, but those coil-overs are gonna it a rough ride for the average commute or fun Sunday drive. See if anyone is looking for a Saturday Night Drifter, could be good for that if anyone has the time to put into it

As a 7 year BRZ owner who does all their own work, and has rebuilt their own motor, I would say this is a pretty sweet find if had for a good price. From what I could tell, it sounded ok. No tapping or anything. Would certainly do a fluid change on the transmission and diff (and engine obviously), as it most likely hasn't been changed. Color is certainly appalling, and hopefully just a wrap, as the color of engine bay and B pillar suggest it's white originally. Which I would most certainly go back to. I think they just look great in white, but I that's just my opinion. lol
