Finally! A real world example. :-) Seen soooo many simple, easy, plain background versions that really just aren't cuttin the mustard.
Also, as a bit of a newb in PS. I thought your selecting out the veil it's self, to place back over, was brilliant.

When selecting sheer fabrics, like veils, for extraction, I have used a mask, set to a shade of gray, rather than black or white. I may have to try different % of gray until I find a good color, but, this has worked for several extractions. It works best on dark backgrounds.
