Welcome *back* to the fourth episode my mini series, Color Mixing! The purpose of this series is to learn how to mix secondary colors as well as browns and neutrals, and how those mixes compare to tube versions of the same color family. Today we are going to look at what colors to mix to produce various shades of brown.

Usually mix my own browns but got a tube of Van Dyke brown & find it not to yellow or the orange in burnt sienna & performs much better than sepia. Wonder why don’t see it very often but enjoying it! Love these color series!

I'm making a pallette with different brands of only magenta, cyan, and yellow. I really need more mixing practice than I thought. These kinds of videos are helpful to me even if you don't use those colours.

This really helped me. I'm only working with primary red, blue, yellow, plus a green, so I had to mix some of your basic colors before going on to the browns. That last one is definitely my favorite. Very rich.
