Some maps are good, some maps are bad, some maps, well... make you question life. All of them are interesting though, so we're going to look for them on random community servers!

Bruh I don't even know with the thumbnails for this series. It's super hard to make them fit the current style I'm using.

The SA2 Chao Garden map is just that, the Chao garden from Sonic Adventure 2 (Battle specifically, which was on the Gamecube), which was basically just a virtual pet simulator that you're sorta just supposed to visit between levels, though at the same time it has a surprising amount of depth to its mechanics and takes a heckuva lot of grinding to get the "perfect" Chao for Racing and Karate and such.

tldr: virtual pet minigame where you raise weird baby creatures and then put them into races and fights to beat other weird babies.

The "practice" in the practice map probably meant the map maker was practicing map design and this was a result of it

About the SA2B map, the map is really well, i'm just here to clear up some confusion.
1. SA2B is a Gamecube game, not GBA
2. Yes, there is a Chao Karate
3. The three small areas are the gardens: Neutral, Hero and Evil
4. The race is really weird... He combined all the races in one area so that's why it's so big
5. The ''Fortune Teller'' room in the kindergarden was made just so you could name your chao
6. The GBA on the gardens aren't actually GBAs on the game, they are machine where you put your chao so you can transfer him into the chao garden of Sonic Advanced 3 with link cable
7. Yes, the sky in the Neutral Garden is like that.

That Sonic adventure map was super well done. It's pretty much an exact recreation

first map along with the original mario kart is just a compilation of old (pre 2012) memes on 4chan that were popular at the time. they both managed to slip out the target audience's scope somehow, i guess they were just wacky and there weren't much maps to chose from back then

I like how he said something about the signs but had no clue about the admin pyros that carry signs all the time

The whiplash I feel going from rainbows and random humour to a surprisingly faithful recreation of a Junji Ito story is... Something I've never quite experienced before.

There are lots of Chao races, and depending on the race, you'll face off against different opponents, and go through different parts of that giant map. They're all connected, but each race only uses some parts of it. The various sections are to test the chao's different stats.

The karate uses the stats for combat instead.

In both mini games, it's mostly automatic, with little player input.

And you could link the game up with a GBA so you could raise your chao while you were away from the console, so long as you didn't turn the gameboy off.

The Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Garden map looked absolutely breathtaking.

It's a 1:1 recreation of a side mode called Chao Garden, which is essentially a Tamagotchi petstyle raising simulator. They got everything perfectly 1:1, including the horrible looking skyboxes! Seriously, as a fan, this is an amazing map.

All the stuff from the Chao Garden is directly ripped from Sonic Adventure 2 lol

Ah yes, bananaland. *shirtless Nicolas Cage inside a banana skin slides across the screen* A classic TFC map.

There should be a game mode where you explore maps and search for hidden objects and whichever team gathers enough wins. Kind of like player destruction except hidden.

makes sense that harbl hotel feels like a mario kart, it was created by zenon who also makes the original mario kart map

I love how some mapmakers just decided to make nonsense shitpost maps and somehow that became an accepted and widespread style of maps in TF2

For Lazy Purple's silly servers the map changes, so sometimes the map is lame, other times it's super cool
