Night Photography in Reno NV with my Leica SL2

I share some of the photos I captured while I was in Reno Nevada recently. I did a photowalk for about two hours after dark one night and shot several long exposure photos with my Leica SL2, a 28mm manual focus lens stopped all the way down to f16 and a tripod. It was a wonderful time by myself that was really relaxing to be honest.

Cool night shots in Reno! Maybe use the clone tool to erase the lamp posts? That Chicago style hot dog place at the end looked interesting!

Neat photographs, David. I’m inspired to start my neon collection. Great technique to place the lamp posts between letters.

You and that Leica are getting along great I see!!! My favorites were the first Welcome to Reno sign and the shot at 5:10 of what I think is a Hotel, the lights on the sides look cool plus the American Flag on top in the shadows adds to it....But im sorry to say this video will have to be redone because you forgot to say " until next time get your camera out and take a picture with it " your slipping ole man 😂😂😂

Great shots, I think the photos you took at an angle was brilliant thinking and I also think composition is better that way.

Thanks, David. Was that 28mm lens the Pentax 28 3.5? I enjoyed the photos. Makes me want to do some night photography soon. I'll wait until the sun sets a lot earlier later this year and get back into it I'm sure. Once, on a business trip for Mazda, I went to Las Vegas. I managed to slip away for a few hours and took a cab to the old part of vegas. I think it's called Fremont St and it's really great for night photography like you did in this video.

Some cool shots David. What camera would you prefer for night pics, Leica or Nikon? Thanks for sharing the video 👍👍
