On my way to Eya Village I am stopping in a small town called Muli City. The city is particularly characterized by its huge variety of different ethnicities.
The next day I eventually went to Eya Village which is one of the most remote and primitive places I have ever been to in China. I met incredibly hospitable people who showed me a glimpse of their lives in far remote China.
Join me on my trip to the most isolated village in China 🎬

Yan, you are one of the most honest documentary filmmakers around. You have no 'agenda'. You are not trying to sell a message to us. You just show us things we would never have the chance to see. You are so respectful of people. Wonderful. Thank you from a retired traveler from the UK.

The roofs with vegetable gardens have solar hot water panels on them. This is what we wanted for New York City back in the 70's. To have our own hot water systems & veggies. Glad to see someone doing it successfully! A magical video! Thanks!

This is a VERY important interesting video showing that Chinese people even of 20 minorities can live peacefully, happily doing their own business in such a small place. Thank you for sharing a beautiful video

Hi i'm from Nepal and indigenous from Himalayas here, I sometimes ponder about the origin of my distant ancestors and i get intrigued to believe that they must have descended from China mainland. I feel so connected while watching your vlogs. China is beautiful beyond words in every respect.
P.S- My obsession with China is growing every time I watch your videos.

Priceless Yan, priceless. That is where I was to go in 1986, I had studied Mandarin with another Chinese man, but halfway through the course my mother passed away, and then Chernobyl happened, and I was called away. I have the book written by Peter Guillart. who lived in Lijiang until Mao arrived, then disappeared to Singapore. Thank you for being you Yan, a very special relationship, with, all, Hug for you...

After the great LiziQi left her channel, I finally found another Chinese Content Creator that keeps making me fascinated with the Chinese Culture and Cuisine. Thank you, Yan 🥺❤️

So remote, yet so advance in terms of say, solar, piped water, even saw lots of satelite dishes?
Growing vegies on roofs, side by side with solar panels?
We in the mordern architectural community dreams of such futuristic dwellings, harnessing the rain, sun and wind, building eco friendly and self sustainable communities.
And here, in the most remote place in China we find all that we dream about in reality, it's happening before we could say "I wish".
How have we failed??

Such beautiful place that is out of the eyes of the world. The fact that the homes have no doors really shows how peaceful this place is! Great video, thank you.

So interesting, but what I find is amazing is the old city and at the side this modern fabulous bridge road over a valley that you just see in China. The people always look so happy, laughing. So magic.

Thank you for pointing out that the Muli village has kept it indigenous Tibetan character. Not only that, it has turned itself into and kept its connection with the elements and nature using the rooftops to grow their family veggies. So beautiful and they live together in harmony practicing the Buddhist principles of compassion &kindness. The world needs these lessons in sustainable living, just needs to set foot on the path... many thnx Yan for this &all your beautiful insights into the hidden China. I have spent time there and love China, so beautiful.

It's so very interesting to see the many different ethnicities in Muli city; before your videos, I didn't know China was so diverse. Eya was also very interesting, and the people are so friendly and open! I wondered about your motorbike, but when I saw some of those roads, I'm glad you took the buses instead! Thank you for these wonderful insights into China!❤😊

In such a remote village, these people live a hardship life, yet very basic and simple. They overcome poverty and still very happy 😃👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Demeanor is a perfect word, someone commented about you,
Your flow of commentary, directly from the heart and the places you visit and take YouTubers through, feels as if we are transported with you,

Words can't be befitting for the kind of awe you bring watching your channel.

I am amazed with your organic flow of words in Chinese, English and your coverage....so enriching the soul.

As soul we are all one, as body we navigate this world

Keep up your work.... So meaningful,
This vlog...such remote village in China, yet your elegance to meet people and negotiate the essence of life if so captivating....

I bow before you for the AURA you carry.

If the world views your channel, humility about China can be felt.
I am 65, my father lived in Rangoon and he was fluent in Chinese and Burmese.
His description and his story about Chinese culture, I can sense the flavour of Chinese culture and humility.

I live in Chennai, India, here there old time Chinese restaurant since 1960's and have tasted chilly pork with Rum.

Ya, you made my day, girl, and Thank you.

I will expect lot more vlogs and keep watching your channel, so, so enriching.

Hello Yan again, from Scotland . There are over 20 different ethnic minorities living in the Muli city with not a hint of distress or friction or malcontent anywhere . I believe other nations and leaders can learn a great deal from those nice folks you have encountered on your travels ... especially with peace and harmony . It's not difficult at all, is it ? Very best wishes to you on your great adventures .

One of the best ways to learn about China and Chinese history is through Little Chinese Everywhere, which has the best drone shots to see a bird's eye view of what Yan is talking about.
