Artificial harmony, slide guitar, volume picking, crotchets, oriental notes, shredding, licking, legatos, neoclassical theme, arpeggios, hammering, and above all melodious scales and chords what have you left over for other guitarists Ritchie ????

This video best explains why Blackmore is an ultimate guitar hero and one of the most fascinating personalities in rock history. BtW his slide guitar playing is second to none.

As a serious Beethoven fan, I can say this version of the 4th movement of the 9th is absolutely stunning! It took my breath away! Awestruck is not too strong a term. If you listen carefully you can even hear elements of the 5th symphony. These guys are serious musicians!

I was there Tokyo Budokan with my friend that night. I remember everyone got so surprised and shouted with joy to find orchestra members behind Ritchie on the stage. We could not believe what we saw.
That was the greatest concert ever!!!

What a beautiful performance of Classical/Rock fusion. Amazing how he Keeps it so melodic, while dazzling with guitar virtuosity, and staying true to the Beethoven theme. He makes it his own, but pays great tribute to one of the worlds greatest composers. Ritchie is a guitar god by every definition.

Man, wtf I just saw? The man was so ahead of his time. This is one of the most brilliant things ever played in the history of rock.
