Here is another helpful hint. If your filter ipulling in in the center you do not have a large enough filter and you need to figure out a way to install larger filter. The reason that this in important is the fan is trying to move more air than the filter can handle. If you run the larger filter the AC/heat will not run as long. On my heat/cool unit it takes 2 each 20 x 20 inch filters to get the max air flow. Figure out a way to install these larger filters. I have a floor return and built a furniture type boxto cover the floor return and hold two 20 x 20 filters. You can also do this with a wall return, you just have to figure out a way to do it. Then you use high flow filters

Okay I have been doing something like this for years.
I have a question though about table top and pedestal fans. I use one in my bathroom ( table fan) just for air circulation. Can’t think of a way to cover fan to keep dust and gunk out of the grates and blades. Fans gather that stuff really quickly and looks just terrible. There was like a bag you could cinch over the cage. But that wouldn’t work for a box fan? Window.

I love these screens, filter products and agree that these are so expensive in a big box store like Lowes ect. Where can I buy a empty metal screen or one that I can use in my 20x20 air conditioner. The ones I buy at a high price are paper or cardboard- can I use those and put the filter material over it? Where can I find and buy the orange filter product? The guy at Home depot said don’t use a MEV of more than 10 rating or it will put a strain on my AC unit working it too hard. Can you put a package of these products together so we can buy them from you? I need EZ and don’t know where to start. Hi, I have one of those Air Doctor units, with the odd size of 13.5 x 16.5 two part filters, one charcoal and the other hepa, (Or so they say) Anyway, these filters are expensive to replace and not very reusable (such as washing them and allowing to dry). Any suggestions? I love that you made your own filter with the orange and blue fiber. Thank you for the great video and channel!!
