I am a 48 mother and grandmother. I listened to the bible in a year. I got to day 34 when something clicked inside me. It led me to look into the church and look at the miracles that still happen today. I am currently in the RICA classes. I am looking forward to getting baptized this upcoming Easter.

Day 102. I started going to mass again. Mass means so much more now that I’m reading the Bible daily. I was just going through the motions before. I find myself crying during communion most Sundays. It’s like my heart is so full it spills over! I’m so glad I found the Ascension app and I look forward to my readings every day. Thank you for sharing God’s word!

My kids shared the Ascension app and I have been listening to both Bible in a year and the Catechism. I have read the bible but not with the understanding I have gained through this wonderful podcast. I am also in RCIA class as one of the "older" adults and will be joining the church in 2024.

What’s in it for me ? Everything, I am so taken by what I have read more, so what I have learned. There are three major things that brought me back after 50 years and I didn’t even know I could come back my sister-in-law who asked the right questions at the right time adoration and confession, and my sister-in-law saying to me you have to listen to Father Mike.. she pretty much guaranteed me that if I listen to two or three of his sermons or Ascension presents talks that I would be in for good. And she couldn’t have more correct.

I spent 5 days in Nashville on vacation and took my Great Adventure Bible with me and didn't skip a beat. read/listened to day 281 today. during the workweek, I read/listen after work to unwind. thank you, Fr. Mike and Jeff.

I've been listening to the BIAY and CIAY all year and have enjoyed them very much. I'm baptized and confirmed catholic; I went to catholic grade school and am an avid podcast consumer. Both of these shows are the first ones on my rotation every morning. God Bless Father Mike and everyone at Ascension for bringing the Bible into our lives daily.

I too am on the journey through The Bible in a year. I am not on schedule but I hit the play button again as soon as I hear the reminder of the Holy Spirit to do so. I now feel myself missing it if I don't. I definitely get distracted and don't understand everything I hear, but I am hearing more and more personal messages the farther into it I go. I listen when going for walks. Definitely a good discipline for me. Thank you Fr. Mike for your encouragement and humor. Thank you Jeff for your passion and knowledge of the Word. Thank you for The Bible Timeline Show and all of your teachings! I was exposed to The Bible Timeline about 7 years ago and I have shared the timeline with so many people to help make sense of the collection of books in the Bible and where they fit into the story. My husband and I are currently following along on Bible in a Year with Fr. Mike and are loving it! Our plan is to do Bible in a Year again next year, and to add Catechism in a Year as well for 2024. Bless you both for making sense of the Bible for those of us Cradle Catholics who had never read the Bible cover to cover. We pray for you and thank God for your influence in our faith journeys. +
