SET can look back on a long history in drive technology. The core team has been developing variable speed drives for a wide range of applications for more than 30 years.

SET´s roots are in the technically demanding wind energy sector, where among others VFDs and hybrid drive systems have been evolved. Already many years ago, SET recognized the increasing demand for energy-efficient drives, especially in the fields of thermal power plants and oil&gas production. This was the starting point for the development of the SETCON drive, an electro-mechanical variable-speed gearbox for the industry.

Continuous patent developments and design optimizations give SET now the technical lead over the competition and are setting new standards in drive technology. Today, SET looks to the future with confidence, taking on the challenges of a sustainable, responsible and energy-efficient age.
