This is a taste test/review of the new Hershey’s Chocolate Crème Pie. It has Hershey’s cocoa flavored crème filling in a Hershey’s cocoa pastry crust with whipped topping and chocolate shavings.

I remember Burger King used to have Hershey pie in single servings an I think Edwards had one that was probably the same thing. I think the cups idea would be good for single people or just for portion control. We have a family dinner at Thanksgiving that is just a gluttons paradise, but aside from that everybody does their own thing. I am not married with kids. It is just me and two nephews plus friends and other family at the holidays.

What you said: You CAN serve it by the I heard: One pie=One serving. I like to eat that stuff frozen so it's more like ice cream pie. Those kinds of things generally taste "cheap" but acceptable IF you add hot fudge and other add-ins.

The Reese's pudding cups sound like the idea you're describing... no idea if they taste at all similar to the pie though

What is up with crusts lately? They’ve been falling short. However, in my opinion these type of pies are better without a crust. I’m choosing the Reese’s pie. Great review.

Boy, it sure looks good!! I think all the pie companies have fallen short on their crusts. Marie Callender, and Edwards, the same thing, like damp cardboard, so, you end up eating the filling, leaving the crust. That's bad if you have company...lol. Having a bad crust on a pie is like having bad bread on a sandwich, it makes or breaks the product, and it's really a shame. However, thanks for your always honest reviews.

The box look was pretty cool 😎 oh man I love a good crust on a pie 🥧 my husband got a coconut cream pie from Marie Callender’s and it was so good and even the crust 😊

It seems like you preferred the Reese’s pie or at least that filling over the Hershey’s. I realize they are different flavors but which do you like better? Given the crust issues with both pies, I wouldn’t serve these to guests at the holidays.

I’m afraid I’d have been disappointed if I bought this based on the description and then went to serve it to company and it tasted like pudding 😅 Not that pudding isn’t great and all but… lol. Especially given your description of the crust. Appreciate your trying this for us! Oh! I bought an Edys/Dryers ice cream at the store yesterday and for the first time, they had a seal under the lid! 🙌🏼 Made me think of you two!!

What other stores sell this pie besides Kroger? Since there are no Kroger stores here in central Florida, I would like to try some of that pie to find out for myself how good it really tastes.

. I love the Hershey Sunday pie at Burger King, I buy the Edwards chocolate cream pie at the supermarket which is like the pie at Burger King. I think it would be great if you do a comparison between the Hershey chocolate cream pie & the Edwards chocolate cream pie. even if you did a comparison between the Burger King Hershey Sunday pie & the Edwards chocolate cream pie or all three, which one would come out on top? I think for the value, the Edwards comes out on top as when I go to the supermarket, I do find that it is not always in stock as it seams to sell out quite a bit.

This was the only one of the 4 candy bar pies I wasn't interested in. We had the Mounds pie last night. Topping and filling was nice, but it has the same crust as this one. I'd buy it again for $4 or $5, but $10 is once and done.

I have found most frozen pies have bad crusts. There are exceptions, of course, but I have just not liked them too much. The pies themselves, yum! hehehe I have had the Hershey's pie at BK and it is good. I like Hershey, though it isn't my fave chocolate by far, but their pies are good. :-)

Sorry you paid $10 for what turned out to be a large pudding cup… lol I make crustless pies all the time…. But a cookie crumb crust takes a minute to make and would be amazing with this…
