Sam Tinnesz is originally from Atlanta, GA but has now lived in Nashville, TN for 15 years. He signed his first record deal with Curb Records before he graduated college and toured for over 8 years all around North America soon after. In his mid 20s he decided to leave the road and start writing exclusively. He went on later to be an integral part of the team that developed Ruelle. He also has written and co-produced for artists like Whissell, Young Summer, Anna Mae and others. Now stepping into his own solo career he’s found success landing spots on Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer, Bad Samaritan and countless other network shows. Amassing over 10 million streams on his latest LP independently with no label in a small amount of time, he is excited about the future and releasing a new record in the fall. Sam also has had his first charting pop single as a writer this year with Andreas Moss' "Stuck in My Feelings" that reached the top 30 on Hot AC.

But when the chorus hits, it feels like a litte flash of hope and determination. As somebody who faces depression and suicide on a daily basis, I can't even begin to explain how hard this hits. How many times I've just sat and cried to this music, sat and felt every one of his words with emotion the likes of which I've been keeping holed up for years now. This song really impacted me. And I know this comment will likely never be recognized, never be seen by anybody. But I'd like to thank you, all of you. So I've seen a lot of the comments here, and I know this song hits hard for those suffering thru depression and many other obstacles in life. I've listened to this song before and I just loved it as the piece of art it is. And then tonight, while finally driving home after an entire day of consoling my best friend, whom has just been informed her baby has no heart beat and there's no ideas as to why at almost 20 weeks pregnant. 💔 to say this song pulled every single chord in my soul is an understatement, and I can relate to so many about bawling my eyes out to this song. I finally let myself release the pent up pain and just screamed at the sky and while this song continued to blast in my car, I went and had a soul crushing walk by a lake, , while talking to my never to be born (basically) nephew about how I'd be his sort of raven, to send his momma his love in every way I can and I will get her thru this. And from the bottom of my broken heart I begged the soul of an unborn child to "show" me a rock, any rock, to put his name on for his momma to always hold onto him and I swear to you, I reached down and picked up the only rock I could see in the dark and took it home. I cried again when I brought that rock inside and it was a beautiful white quarts ❤ Heart. And this song WAS the trigger that put me on a path to help heal myself and my best friend 💛
I don't know what made me feel the need to put this all here, but I wanted to get it out somewhere and let the universe and this amazing artist know how thankful I am for this song and so many others that can reach deep into bleeding wounds and start the stitching process to healing again. ❤ so thank you and to all who have read this far, I appreciate you and know that I reciprocate all the care you've shown just for reading this far. ❤ and always keep fighting. No matter the scars life brings, with pain comes healing and with healing comes growth and strength. We'll all get thru the hard times some how. I love ravens . They are intelligent, mysterious and they are pretty. I used to give some food during the winter to those birdies. There’s a counter outside of my window, I leave foods there every day .And after the ravens membered me and knock at my window for food everyday 😂
