COVID hospitalizations soar amid protests against masks

The district i live in has high vax rate and masks in school mandate. Its been three weeks since school began..no cases of covid. All these other schools with low vax rates and no masks are shutting down. Tell you something?

Do you have a problem when the government bans you from smoking inside buildings? compels you to wear seat belts? forces you to stop at red lights and stop signs? If you don't then you should have no problem when the government asks you to wear masks because government makes policies for public safety and decent people in civilized societies show respect and care for fellow human beings even it is not the law.

Gov. Greg Abbott announced the Texas Department of State Health Services would deploy state-funded relief workers to hospitals, and 8, 100 have either arrived from other states or are expected soon.

It’s the second time the state has taken such action. At the height of the state’s winter surge, almost 14, 000 medical workers were deployed across the state, according to DSHS. From July 2020 to early August of this year, the state spent more than $5 billion in federal disaster funds and coronavirus relief funds on medical personnel.

The parents that don't make their kids wear masks should have their children removed from their custody and given to responsible parents. It's child neglect, plain and simple. These are the type of irresponsible parents that think being a good parent and raising a child is all about feeding them, clothing them, and buying them high tech toys. They are idiots. I wouldn't want to raise a kid in today's society. I'd be embarrassed if I had parents like that. Just pure stupidity and selfishness.

Children should be wearing higher quality masks. At least surgical masks. The cloth ones made out of t-shirt material are not as effective.
