Boy, Kiara really sounds like she was having the time of her life during this collab!

Now imagine if the question was like "you have 3 dimes and 5 throppins, how much do you have".

To be fair, the rupiah isn't divided into smaller units. Everyday transactions in ID are in whole numbers so it's understandable that they are not familiar with subunits of currencies.

It would be the same reaction if they are asked about temperature in Fahrenheit or miles for distance

In Finland we used to have markka and penni (1/100th markka), now we have euro and sentti. It would feel so weird if we didn't have cents. BTW I could have gotten this question wrong in a hurry. It happens.

Eeeh... I'd imagine that Kiara wouldn't speak dollar either... She'd speak euro. xD

Me whenever I try to play trivial pursuit as a non-american and it's all about US celebrities and stuff.

They would react the same if the question was about measurements by foot

I guess I'm not EN enough to get the question just because I'm from a country which has a variant of the peso as its official currency

If the currency in the question was in Indonesian rupiah, the tables would have turned

To be fair, us Indonesians doesn't use cents and only use rounded up number for pricing. Even the more inconvenient pricing such as conveniece store price in Indonesia would never use a decimal, for example a convenience store or supermarket would price a cup noodle for Rp. 5800 while if you buy the same cup noodle on street vendors it will be rounded up in price to 5500 rupiah or 6000 rupiah.

We used to have sen/cent, but inflation hit hard and never get denomination 😂

Technically, ID used to have cents. But it goes back couple of decades ago. No wonder why they got wrong on this one.
Not many ID bros know this, especially if u are millenials.

We used to have cents in the 60s but not anymore
