iOS 16’s new lock screen features genuinely make the iPhone feel like it’s customizable. The iPhone has been criticized for its lack of freedom and now I finally feel like Apple’s ecosystem is no longer stagnant and boring.

My favorite one is the one for medication. Sometimes I forget to take my allergy meds in the morning and I definitely regret it later on in the day. At least I still keep some in my bag in case I forget to take it

I love that I’ll be able to put my medication reminders in the Health app now. Love the Lock Screen widgets too, I’ll definitely be putting an activity widget there to make sure I stay on track closing my rings. I also love that I’ll be able to edit texts now, it always drives me crazy when I notice typos later. 😂 The only thing I’m still waiting for is for Apple to let us customize text message colors so I can choose what I want instead of that funky blue and green.

The photo doesn’t have to be portrait mode! It’ll still do it, as long as there’s a clear subject and background.

Focus modes and focus filters are two different things!! Focus filters go one step further and apply to activities inside the app. Ex: Show only work related events in calendar or only notify work emails when work focus mode is turned on. This is a boon if you have an app using multiple account setup. To begin with, apple native apps like iMessage, calendar, mail are supported. Third party apps can also add support using the APIs offered by apple.

My favorite part was the med tracker in the Health app. I take a lot of medication, so it will be nice to have an easier way to keep up with taking it. So excited for that.

Incredible! Apple finally decided to give iPhone users what's been available for years on Android. When they actually implement something that hasn't already been done, that will be news. I'm just giving you a hard time, I appreciate your enthusiasm and sharing the new ios features with everyone.
