Even though it may be too early at this point in time to say, it seems as though Rublev's back to feeling a bit more like his old self again. I think this victory today should give him some boost of confidence at the very least. Tsitsipas' level, however, has seemingly declined ever since the French this year.

Look at those Djokovic forehands, how easy they look but he rips them at insane speeds so non-chalantly. I would best describe it as, like the commentator lovely put it: "Effortless brutality"

I didn't the the full match, but from the highlight, Rublev didn't shout bweeeh that much as usual but still win. He kept that bweeeh power to fight Novak.

Tsitsipas was practicing his backhand return of serve basically his whole first practice session in Turin. Just backhand returns of serve, nonstop. He knows it's his main weakness. And even though it looks strange after this straight-set loss, I think he's really onto something. He was hitting some of the best backhand returns of serve he's ever hit in this match, plus some other very good backhands (you could see Rublev's suprised face several times, he even started targeting Stefanos' forehand sometimes). His inside out forehand has also improved a lot, he's trying to be more aggressive, hitting the ball early. It's just the execution that was not good enough, too many errors in the match, probably because of the injury and lack of practice. But if he keeps practicing these things, he may finally get to another level, 2022 may be a good year for him.

Rublev brought a different level today! No break points given and really controlled this match. Most of Stefs service games were going 40-40 and i really do worry about him advancing. He really hasnt enjoyed the 2nd half of this season.
