Alright everyone thank you for joining me today. In this video I'm doing a request to do an experiment to see if you can carbon arc gouge with the titanium stick 225. The results of this experiment are shocking, no pun intended. Thanks again for watching! Please like, comment, and subscribe. I'll see you on the next one.

I just want to let you know how much I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and expertise. It's been a huge help, as I am just getting started with welding/fab projects. Also, thank you for demonstrating HF products, and how well they work. Your content is excellent.

Dude, you’re amazing! I literally just picked one up of these up for 210.00 from HF today and I found your flux core mig setup video on now this.

Thanks again for your videos. The titanium 225 is quite the beast. If I had 220v I would be planning my purchase right now. Maybe later...

This is one of the better videos on YouTube, testing/using an inverter welder for gouging, which is an awesome capability, & necessary for quality repairs.

What amperage setting were you using, and have you gouged much with it since making this video?

Thanks!

Holy cow... if the Stick 225 survived that... it must be a decent little machine. I was almost certain you were going to let the magic smoke out of the Titanium. I'm sure you would if you made doing CAG with it a regular habit. CAG is really tough, almost abusive, on power supplies, especially small ones like buzz boxes and these small inverters.

Hey you answered my question directly! Thanks man! Looks like you're in AZ too! I'm in Yuma.

Dang, 5/32. I was expecting a smaller rod. That was surprising. I have one of those Vulcan 220s and for standard mig it has been great. Have had it over 3 years. For comparison i mainly run a Miller 352mpa with a S74 wire feeder with dual shield but ive been impressed with those HF machines.

I gouged with that machine about a month ago and qorkd good. No problems. I just need to get a bigger air compressor because i had to wait every the pressure got lower than 90 psi

Was going to give this a try with my hobo freight engine driven 195 but was hesitant to pay for the attachment until I saw this. Pretty neat man!

my father did carbon arc gouging with craftsman 180 amp welder with standard electrode holder without air i think

Pretty cool try using a smaller diameter rod and see if that helps

What size carbon electrode were you using? This is pretty awesome!

Just use two 6011 rods at the same time at max amp and they will gouge through train track ;-)

And here my boss keeps telling me I need to get a 3-400 amp machine for it to be worth getting a carbon arc for my home shop

Without start watching your video, you might be able to arc gouge thin metal welds

That will burn that thing up pretty quick those welders weight like 10 pounds there's barely any heat sinks in em trust me yeah of course it will work but very temporary the voltage spikes from CAG is too much
