For those wondering what his bankai does here's a short summery
Shunsui's is meant to be the strongest as he is the head captian of gotei 13 now... His bankai katen kyokotsu karamatsu shinju has a big radius and it is so deadly it can even kill his own Comrades.... He used this bankai very far from his Comrades during his fight in wandereich... His bankai starts a play following 4 acts in which shinsui is the main character and the opponent he is facing is villian (basically a drama show)
Act 1 - both villain and hero(shunsui) attack each other if the villains attack lands on hero both get equally hurt and if the hero's attack lands on hero still both are equally hurt
Act 2 - deadly blood. Spores indicating a disease starts appearing on the villains body and they slowly lose their sanity
Act 3 - hero and villain both are placed in a water body (this is a test for endurance) but in this the villian tries to get above the water surface little did he knew that the more he was swimming up the more he was drowning
Act 4 (final act) - shunsui uses a thread and snaps the head of the villain making the hero the winner of fight
Basically Shunsui's bankai is aimbot 100% kill guaranteed he was going to use it in fake karakura town arc against aizen but was stopped because it would affect his Comrades

What Shunsui Bankai does and what it actually means shortly explained

Act the First: Any wounds that Shunsui or his opponent inflict on each other's body will emerge on their body as well, as if shared. Shunsui compares this to the story of a man who suffers from the same wounds as his partner, but cannot die from them.

Act the Second: Black spots appear all over the body of Shunsui's opponent, causing them to bleed. Continuing his story, Shunsui likens this to the man feeling shame after wounding his partner, causing him to collapse in shame and become incurably ill.

Act the Third: A massive amount of water engulfs both Shunsui and his opponent, who remain within it until one of them runs out of Reiatsu and drowns. Shunsui compares this to the two characters from his story, who both hurl themselves into water.

Final Act: : After sheathing his swords, Shunsui winds a white thread around his opponent's throat multiple times before pulling it taut, leaving a deep cut in their throat that expands before blowing up their head. Completing his story, he likens this to the regretful man's partner ignoring his pleas and shearing his throat.

In english his Bankai name means: Bones of Heavenly Blooming Madness: Withering Pine Lovers' Suicide

And his bankai plays out a tragic and grim story theatre style which could kill Shunsui with his opponent in Act 1 and 3, but gives Shunsui a guaranteed kill in the final act
