It will take time Jim. I feel that you will need it to go through all the gears and cruise at "highway" speed for the computer to completely learn. Great job!

Congrats on the major milestone!! Been working on my 818 over 3 years now and yet to start it...

Sweet!! It can always be cooler, but you have an operating automobile from a bunch of parts! Now the inevitable tweaking begins, but you reached the next stage.

Way to go!!! Your ECU learning curve is why I’m going old school with a Hollie carburetor. I’m not tech savvy enough for EFI.

Congrats. It took my fitech ecu 10 to 15 starts and warm up cycles to really be responsive. I also did a bunch running the car and revving it through the entire rpm range. A lot of engine builders recommend breaking in an engine the way it is going to be used. I tend to drive spirited so I am breaking it in that way.

my '65 GTO street/strip car is not a work in progress. It is a work in regression. The more I work on it, the more there is that needs to be done.

I am under the impression you need to put the learned map over the original map using a laptop, but I’m not that far into my build yet

I have manual brakes on my 68 chevelle and I feel a lot through the brake pedal from the depressing of brake pedal but probably not as much as you do. I imagine you have the Teflon internal lined stainless steel braided performance lines at the calipers, were you feel twice as much as I do, they feed back a lot in braided stainless lines.

Sounds beautiful. My dream is to have one of these in England. What's the engine please?

Jim, just curious what the clearance is of the bottom tip of your grill to the ground? Yours looks like it has an inch or two more than mine. I'm worried mine is going to drag a lot.

As far as I know these computers keep enrichment map in a RAM, not an EPROM, which is cleared each time it looses power. Maybe this is the reason it has to relearn each time?

Sick dude how much power can it handle?

You need to drive a lot more and let it learn in all gears at many different rpms. Taking it around the block a few times does very little. You said you didn't go over 3000 rpms? How is it supposed to learn

Awesome it looks so cool traveling on the road it seems so small next to trucks. Sounds good ! When you take a car out the first time your always going to be hypersensitive to sounds, and things going on.

What a glorious day! Proud of you. Great accomplishment regardless of the tweaks needed. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

It's awesome to see it moving under its own power!

nice to see you drive it. problem is the terminator is not self tuning. it will self learn and make compensations but you still have to take the learn table and use that to manually tune it. i would highly recommend contacting Trevor at TcTuned and have him set you up with a tune. he can tune remotely or send you a file that will be pretty close for your engine.

I had to add some limiter shims to restrict my steering endpoints. do a search for "mustang steering rack limiter shim". You will never rub

What is the idel air controller at? Should be 10% that will help. How does it run in closed loop. It can take a little tweaks to get it perfect.
