It's annoying how people keep claiming that animals act "like dogs" when they're playful and happy. No, they don't. They just act like happy animals. All animals are like that if you treat them like you treat your pet dog. It's just that people seem to expect that sort of behavior from animals that are being kept in captivity, in tiny cages, totally isolated, living a life of stress.

I grew up on a beef farm and I always befriend the cows and give them names and treat them as individual animals and not just "cattle for beef" it absolutely breaks me every time the dreaded lorry comes to take some of them away, I try to reason with my dad about how it should stop but he doesn't listen

When I'm older I really want a couple of cows to have as pets 🥺
