The Blackberry Z10 has been out for a while, but I finally got my hands on it. Stay tuned for Slick's 30 day "cold turkey" switch from Android to BB10!!

Yep we figured that out pretty quickly. Part of the problem was actually the brightness of the screen was REDUCED, which cased that annoying flicker.

I read most comments. It's the community engagement that makes this whole thing fun to me...

I rooted my wife's. Managed to accidentally not download the OTA update, but was still able to get the wireless firmware upgrades. My timing was perfect. Awesome phone now.

Yes. The forum will be a major focus for the Linus Tech Tips team. We want to be the BEST tech forum with our main focus on being "beginning friendly". I don't want to create another elitist forum full of people who think they're better than someone because that person needs to ask a question. That's what will set us apart with contributions from the AWESOME members who are already part of the community.

1080p screen with great viewing angles, wicked snappy responsiveness, awesome camera, the best build quality I've ever encountered on something without "Apple" printed on it... There are many things to love.

It's the best phone I've ever used by far. They provided me with a phone (but then again as you can see I don't have any shortage of those...) but other than that HTC has not given me any money or other compensation :)

I would love to get your feedback on a few things I did differently in this video
1. Thumbnail. Normally I just pick one based on the YouTube default options. Did you click because of the more "pro" thumbnail?
2. Macro footage. Did you like it? Hate it? Neutral about it?
3. Long, drawn-out, rambling style of the A-roll footage. Should I keep this (classic Linus) or switch to tighter cuts with a more focus?

Trying to refine our style over the next little while. It's competitive out

1. Thumbnails: I like to see all the weird ones like the one you have for Razer DeahAdder 2013. Its exciting to see them.
2. Macro Footage: Loved it.
3. Long Drawn-out rambling style: Love your classic style. That is what makes you better than the rest. Seems very real. Not like other who do not sound natural.
Just my opinion.

Well done, I'm tired of all these videos that read all the specs off the box. Everyone does that we know already how fast they are! Very refreshing seeing a real person with a real review. THAT WAS NICE!

Lol. The "Steve Jobs invented it" meme was my little hint that I was kidding ;)

1. Didn't notice the pro thumbnail to be honest. Clicked because of the video title.
2. Loved the Macro footage. If it is a small product you can't really see all the details with a normal unboxing so the macro shots help getting a better impression of the product.
3. Classic Linus. I watch your videos to learn about new products and I also enjoy it when you tell information about the general category of the product that is not easily available to read, i.e. developments over the last years, ...

I've always been paid to make videos. I worked at a Canadian retailer making videos (among other things) for 5 years. Nothing's changed :)

i like how you mixed both styles. its much more natural, and does not feel like a commercial all the time.

Thumbnail: I actually prefer your more traditional thumbnails, simply because they're far easier to identify.

Macro footage: Great, like it, keep it.

Rambling: Keep it. It's what makes your videos unique, and I like hearing more honest (sounding) opinions.

1. The thumbnail is nice, but I like your usual style of thumbnails anyway.
2. The macro footage was pretty cool, I liked it. It's good to have on something small like a phone, or sticks of RAM.
3. I like the usual style of Linus who talks very naturally, sounding fanatical and knowledgeable about every product he unboxes.
Many of the other youtubers out there sound very monotone and scripted sitting there like little robots.

Please don't change anything! Everything from your thumbnails to your review style is perfect and for me at least makes content on your channel the most 'honest' if that makes sense. Dropping a few macros in the mix couldn't hurt though :D

Linus, the apps that are in the "multitasking screen" are called active frames and are running constantly, even if the background (unlike Android/iOS/WP), thus BB needing to limit the amount you can have to 8 and decided to put 2 pages of 4 active frames. Also, the reason why they are so big is so programmers can actually change what is displayed when it's running in the background (think live tiles). So if you minimize a weather app, it can change the active frame to show the current weather.

All good. Was precise, straight to the point with a little back info. Didnt feel like 13mins at all.

1. i really do not care much about the thumbnail, because i watch your videos anyway

2. macro footage on the device yes, on the person no, not that you're not handsome :D no it just seem awkward

3. classic linus, because this is what makes your channel special imo.
