Permanently disqualified for eczema? And they wonder why they aren't meeting recruiting requirements now.

I went through a similar situation. It literally took me a year and a bunch of medical records from every doctor I had ever been to. I was on the verge of giving up when I finally got the call that I'd been approved. Don't give up just yet. Sometimes you just have to focus on something else and give it time.

In 1987 I tried to enlist in the Airforce during my senior year of high school. I got disqualified because of eczema. I got a letter from my doctor, but I still got rejected. It broke my heart. I went home and literally cried! I ended up going to college and getting a job as a Probation Officer. After all these years It still bothers me sometimes. God Bless.

As an Air Force veteran this breaks my heart. I'm so sorry.

Letter to all my peoples❣️
I know a lot of us might thinking Gods “plan” involves a perfect life, everything will go smoothly, he will lay out what job he wants us to have etc, but as many of us know that’s not the case, that it doesn’t always involve a wealthy lifestyle, an easy life, or riches here on earth and that’s why God wants us to TRUST IN HIM FULLY. If we have Jesus then we know that our hope and faith lie in the fact that if we are saved, if we understand that we are sinners and need a savior, JESUS CHRIST, who died on the cross for our sins that we may live with him in heaven for eternity, then that gives us peace on this earth while we are living here for this short amount of time. I wanted to write all of you this letter to remind you or to maybe to let you know for the first time that Jesus Christ, the man in the Bible is real, is God, and loves his children, and is waiting on you to make the choice to follow him.

Romans 10:9-10 "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord, " and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

John 5:24 "Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life."

Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I was actually permanently disqualified TWICE for high blood pressure. However i Don't actually have it i just get high BP in stressful environments. I went to the regular doctors and had all normal readings. The Surgeon General of the Air Force approved me last week. then randomly some kids mom dies in a tragic accident and his job was one of the first on my list and i was the only one in DEP that qualified for it. So now i ship out Tuesday 9/6 i have literally been in the DEP for 5 days.

I was a Tech Sgt. in the USAF. I was active and Reserve. You seem like a very nice young Lady. I wish you all the best. The USAF is great but all the Branches are. The score you received on the ASVAB is awesome! Take your time and consider ALL the options in your life. It seem like you've really got your head in the right place. Remember, if have something going on for yourself now in the way of schooling, there is always the Reserve option. The Reserve will provide you with tuition money and real life employment skills. You mentioned God, earlier in Video. I'm glad you did. The Lord, Jesus Christ loves you. Pray and trust. You continue to do your part, he will do his part, Guaranteed! All the beat! ♱ 🇺🇸👮

Before I even opened my mouth about any medical questions, my recruiter said, "80% of applicants are disqualified for medical conditions." I was like EIGHTY PERCENT?! What in the world are you guys disqualifying people for?? Any and everything. I'm sorry, girl. I hope it ends up working out for you. Either way, God has a plan. It may not be what you think you want or expect, but it'll be something amazing.

Congratulations that you eventually made it. I was recently disqualified from the Marine Corps for having dislocated my shoulder a couple years ago. I haven’t had any problems with it. My recruiter is fight his hardest for me and we are trying to sort it out. This video gives me hope. Hopefully I make it

Keep your head up girl! I am having a similar issue (I haven't been DQ'd yet) however, I am having issues with the CMO at MEPS. When I started this process, my biggest fear was that my achilles would be the biggest thing I had to worry about. However, that was the first thing they cleared.

The CMO ended up focusing on an MRI I had done because of a migrane I had a few years ago. Also I had been on blood pressure meds for like 6 months (again it was a couple years ago). So basically I have been going back and forth sending in med docs for like 2 months. I finally got a doctor's note clearing me from blood pressure and everything that I had in my history.

I hope by next week I can go to MEPS and start this.

Please keep trying to get that misdiagnosis cleared up and don't quit until you get the final word. I will be doing the same!

Yea the Airforce is a bit complicated they wanted nothing with me when I had a tiny tattoo on my finger. Now i'm on my way to MEPS in a week to join the Navy.

I haven't got that far but this whole air force situation is stressful but I am trusting God. I am not giving up there's a reason why God wants me to wait 6 months. (Jan. 30th) so i get the feeling of working hard and things go left. it's the devil working but God Got us!

Sorry about what you're going through, it is very stressful. I am in the process of reenlisting, I got medically discharged from the Army 4 years ago. Now I'm trying to enlist in the Air Force, it's a lot of waiting and hoping. Keep praying, I will be praying for you!! Know that God has a specific plan for you, so if this doesn't fall through, his plans were better.

You shouldn’t be disqualified for Eczema. I would go talk to a different recruiters office. I have eczema and they haven’t said anything.

wow, i love you for making this video. A lot of people only post the good. You never see the failures or the time people hit rock bottom. It’s nice to see these type of videos because it lets you know you’re not alone when something doesn’t go as planned. EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON ! Every single thing happens for a reason and i know that everything that’s happened to you is to set you up for something greater in the future! Best of luck to you babygirl ❤️
