Welcome to my EQ2 Relaxation Spa.

You're going to find a set of calming relaxation videos on this channel. Even though the game is two decades old, EQ2 is one of the most beautiful virtual mmo worlds out there: The lore, music, zones, dungeons, wildlife - you name it. Some of the places in Everquest actually have ASMR and dare I say "shamanic healing" properties that might help with stress related health issues, such as anxiety or sleeplessness. This is a tribute in form of a music video dedicated to the Everquest dev team, the community as a whole and one dev: Ttobey. All hail the Everquest franchise! Hail and well met everyone! As previously announced, the final version of The Siren's Song, as sung by Serina Melosine, bard of Qeynos, is finally ready and will be streamed in 1080p60 in approx 24 hours. A high quality version in 4k60 will be available shortly after the live premiere / stream. Fullscreen and headphones recommended (there will be a little bit of medium sized text to read). I set the date for the premiere to a time that I hope should be well suited for everyone heading into the weekend this Friday.

Background, ideas and inspiration:

"Studying sirens can be very dangerous. Their songs can lull the most hardened adventurer to his doom. Instead of studying actual sirens in the Norrathian waters, these lovelies are instead represented by the song of one of the most celebrated bards of her time."

I came up with the idea of a music video after seeing Pantheon: Rise of the fallen introduce the aquatic Dark Myr player race into the game. The Everquest franchise has always had a ton of breathtaking aquatic lore and characters, but we still lack a playable mermaid / siren race and we have yet to further explore life beneath the sea in a noteworthy manner. With this project I hope to motivate the powers that be to take sail and further explore the vast depths of the ocean accross all of Norrath for both games, EQ1/2. The tides are coming in strong with this one as it features a lot of beautiful scenery, relaxing music, ambience and a number of exclusive and never before heard soundtracks and songs created specifically for this music video! Powered by the beautiful voice of A. Barda and Vixi Fox. Spared no expense, effort and time. @Daybreak / Darkpaw: Let me know if you want to use any of the songs and the corresponding soundtracks and life will, uh, find a way (see what I did there?).

Is the first 4 seconds of the trumpet melody sampled or used in the ruins of varsoon soundtrack? The melody sounds identical. Interesting.
