I was born in 1976. When Nirvana hit I was in Highschool.... and I was in the thick of it!!! Olympia was a Prime stop for these bands early on so we just saw them all over 9 months we watched what history would call the Puget Sound. Grunge or Alt Rock... lol To Us they were just Rock and roll and awesome!!! I saw the rise and delusion of a musical Movement .... white, yes, 46, yes. Grandpa yes . Working til my heart stops . A friend of mine, who worked at a record store, told me I'd love this album. So I bought it, about a month after it came out. When this song came on I knew this band was for me. I never cared how popular they became or legendary we think they are now, they just fucking rock with a great pop sensibility. They were like the children of the Replacements and The Pixies, two of my favorite bands.
I'll always have Drain You.

I still can't believe he used to play this song in standard tuning live. On the album it's dropped down a whole step. A little later on they just started playing everything tuned down a half step.
