Celebrities need to understand that getting involved in politics publicly will always bring trouble for them. Politics mostly hurts the average person who is not rich and privileged. Elton John is rich and privileged. He deserves the backlash if he still agrees with his choice.

The last time I went to the theater was in the early 2000s. Too expensive, too loud, people talking, and on cell phones, and having relations in public in the dark, they think. No thanks. I agree Neil, entertainers and actors will put people completely off going to shows if they continue to use every opportunity to force their views on people who haven't asked for them. Remember when we went to church for moral guidance and theatres for fun and entertainment? Ah, the good old days.

Here in California you cannot smoke indoors, or anywhere close to a doorway, so the smoke doesn't blow back in. Also cigarettes are taxed a lot, and they are about £7-8 per pack.
That started about 40 years ago, and many fewer people smoke because they can't afford it
Curiously enough though, the poorer people are, the more likely they are to smoke. Never could figure that out.

I don't care which party some celebrities support, I am quite capable of making up my own mind. As for theatre shows, I won't be attending any of them any more, thanks to the cost of living rises and this new government.

You are correct Neil. I am guilty of still blocking those celebrities that called me many nasty names, just because I voted for Brexit. Same thing will happen(as you say here), if they jump on the political wagon. Truly, they should just keep their mouths shut when it comes to Politics or any other thing that polarises people. Still, those that are rich just don’t care do they…but it doesn’t do their party any good either.
