Ok the panel poping after priming the chamber was really nice

The main character is probably being tricked and actually not fighting for his side. All the communications are pre-recorded and the bunker seems to be in German despite the force apparently speaking English. Someone is impersonating his commanding officer

For some reason this makes me think of that scene in The Iron Giant when the submarine crew is preparing to launch a missile. Now I'm kind of hoping they add some background radio chatter.
