Hi captain2231, thanks for the question. The entire CNC machining industry has adopted new safety door locks. We implemented the new Haas safety door locks January 1, 2011. Sorry that you find the new locks inconvenient. Yes, attempting to override the safety features will void the warranty (as well as make the machine unsafe). Again, thanks for the question.

our vf2 at school can do ATC fwd and rev with the door open just fine

i sometimes have to cut something manually, can sameone tell me how to active Z tool offset and how to see my actual feed wwhen i push JOG LOCK?

I hate having to keep the door closed when doing tool changes. How the hell are we suposed to get anything done? I like my old ones better!

Ok so for example .if i open doors the machine will stop all the axis and tool will rotate in place during making a thread ;) ?! great

the new safty door locks are a big inconvenience. what was wrong with old style locks? can you still buy one with the old style locks (by-passable)? what if you removed the new style locks? void warrenty?

why not make a tool magazine were you can just place the tool in the pocket. the place tool in spindle-close doors- call next tool- open doors. it SUCKS. the older one's were also slow tool in spindle-next-tool in- next. go and focus on that.
