How the hell do you get to deposit someone else’s check and do it several times with different names? Definitely gotta question the bank as well.

I’m confused how could she deposit the checks if they were made payable in another person’s name?

Why were the banks accepting those checks on her behalf?

Why are banks cashing checks from people that aren’t on the check?!

I had a roommate that tried to cash my pell grant (3k check a semester). They checked and called me. I told them to press charges. The roommate then mysteriously disappeared and couldn't pay rent.

On that note, its why you get good grades in school. You get paid to go to college with good grades. Your friends telling you to be at their levels need to get ditched. Stop hanging out with people who have a poor future, especially if they want to drag you down with them.

All charges will be dropped or reduced. She won't have to pay back a penny or serve any prison time. Sweet plea deal coming her way. There's little to no punishment for crime anymore.

20 years ago, I delivered papers for 2 years and during xmas, I would leave thank you cards for being a customer and envelopes with my my address on it so they could tip me if they chose to.
I would always get at least 20-30 ripped open or re-sealed envelopes and many were empty because the dirtbags at the Post office had gone through them for whatever reason...

No wonder postal workers always get freaked out when First amendment auditors record in the lobby

I just retired from being a mail carrier for 34 years. I managed to save money, buy a home and live debt-free for a long time and my retirement account is very nice.
To throw all that away, as well as face prosecution and prison, as this woman should, is really stupid! I hope she does go to prison because she gives a bad name to the integrity and dedication that the vast majority of postal workers exhibit.

Let it sink in 75 checks from 65 people only adding up to over 70k speak volumes.

That bank is in huge trouble, and this dip stick is gone for at least 20 fed time. It's hard enough people are living fork to mouth, now they gotta worry about checks being stolen by mail sorters.

Don't mail anything without tracking. Put in the smallest box you can buy and mail that way.

Apparently alot of postal workers are doing this. When you send a check use 3 day priority with tracking and have it signed for

The entire postal service needs to be investigated for theft.

Never underestimate the desire for your employees to rob you blind no matter what you pay them.
