I think the idea behind the car long range was pointed out here. Teams used to have dedicated cars practically to the track, never mind superspeedway versus road course. The fact you could in theory run the same car the entire season, and only change a few things will definitely reduce long term costs.

Honestly this is demonstrating something good for the sport in the sense of new teams can come with basically one car and run the schedule but what the sport needs to do is not throw all these gimmicks to make the racing better you have a solid product build on that please 🙏
