One of the reasons why Robbie is my favorite singer is his way of interpreting his songs with such a feeling of love, nostalgia, happiness, etc., because that makes the songs feel like mine. His music seriously means a lot to me, I remember hearing Tripping on the radio around 2005, I was just 5 years old, I found his music again around 11 and from that moment I follow his work.

I sang this to my newborn niece. It always sent her to sleep. Then I didn’t see her for 2 years cos she and her mum left the city. After, I went to greet my then 2 year old niece, we were strangers. It was heartbreaking we didn’t know each other. I tried “funny noises”, silly Slapstick routines and she didn’t want to know me whatsoever….. I then sang Eternity to her, the song her newborn self absolutely loved. My 2 year old niece cried and looked at me in ways I cannot even type, one of “I REMEMBER YOU”, but she came to me with a cuddle and we both cried. She’s in her 20s now. I’m her most trusted person and family member, to this very moment. Family is “Eternity”. Cherish them all xx
