IV made it into another actual forest. The Gameboy hardware didn't have enough memory to contain 2 forest's in the same game, so Viridian was reduced to a hedge maze in Kanto in GB/GBC Gen II.

Imagine if HGSS were "faithful" remakes like BDSP. Thank goodness the developers actually put in some effort for the remakes.

Apparently, everything in the Kanto games got replaced by their Johto equivalents in the original Generation II games. In the remakes, almost everything from Red, Blue, and Yellow returns.

Soul silver music is beautiful. The only problem is that those who played pkm gen 2, 3 or 4 as their first games will never experience creepy moments because Viridian forest and lavender town themes got happier gen after gen.
