Hope PRO 5 Hub SOUNDCHECK Video! (+Comparisons!)

You all seem to love asking and hearing what sound different brands of rear hubs make so...this is just you for lot!

The new HOPE PRO 5 hub is just lovely and has quite the different sound to it's 'parent' hub, the Pro 4. Join me as we compare we hear the PRO 5 alongside the 4, the road oriented RS4CL, and the hubs I use in house from Bitex.

Number 1 and number 3 were my favourites. I like how number 3 sounds like a swarm of bees. Also, I like turtles.

Been waiting since you said you’d be doing this comparison! Best on YouTube but it’d be good to hear you review on what you personally think of the sound and the build quality etc compared to other hubs on the market

Qestion? Have all high end hubs all come so good/homogened that people are choosing which hub to buy by the sound that they make?

Hope Pro5 looks to be a great upgrade.

Hey Ryan, I know Bitex hubs have been your go to hub as you mentioned. Curious how you would rate them (Bitex 312) against hubs like the Hope Pro 4 or DT350's for instance? Curious on your personal thoughts. Thank you.

The pro 5 appears to be much quieter and more greased in a way.
I tend to like louder hubs with a lot of clicks more and am wondering if you think it would noticeably change
the loudness if I were to remove a little bit of grease? I know its not recommended but thinking theoretically

Hope 5 will sound like a Stuka downhill

I think will wait for my pro 4 single speed trial on jump bike to wear out coz more stress goes on freehub on jump bike and will get pro 5

Good Day. What spoke length/nipples did you use for the Hope pro 5/DT Swiss EX511 build. Thank You! Cant seem to find proper hub spec dimensions anywhere.

Louder the better but which was loudest for a mtb 🤔. Cheers

I like hope pro 5, but because I already have pro4 road version and it's not too old yet. I can't have it.. although it's nicer and has labyrinth seal. But I can't have it as it would be such a waste to own too many sets of wheels, or bikes.

Ryan is there a difference between the E-bike versions and the normal version with a steep body freehub as this also has 54 POE? cheers

My Hope RD40's use the rs4 hub (6 bolt straight pull) and it's a nice hub, swapped the cassette body with my Pro4 (straight swap) for last year's LONDON-PARIS 👹

No favourite here; I like Hope hubs past and present to build and ride.

108 poe is too much, just about 40 is enough and the sound is better too. Such a V8 among bikes. Too bad there is no version with less poe, for me hope4 or that last one 😉 For sound is better to wear tire on 😉
