It's A LOT MORE than just interest rates. Prepare for a healthy correction/recession.

His optimism in these times is definitely false. Sugar high like this will bleed off as reality hits. Don't forget other companies will hike up prices as their markets become more difficult to partake.

OK. The Obama era is just over. The sharp drop of Dow Jones marks the beginning of Trump consequences.

Having 3 crap paying jobs vs ONE job that pays an actual living wage is NOT an improvement for the people.

Two years ago on October 7, 2016, when Obama was touting his economic growth, the Dow closed at 18, 214. Tell me more about how closing at 25, 598 is a devastating blow to the economy.

Spend? The average American isn’t making it with 2 or 3 jobs. All Wall Street currently is is a giant bubble of what the economy feels like to the 1% whom are doing great. But they dont experience that Americans don’t have money to spare.

The Dow rose 45.5% from my hit that day to it's all-time peak on December 23 .... it's still up 36.6% as of the March 24, 2022 close.

When the government borrows huge sums of money the cost of borrowing for everybody goes up. I'm no Economist and even I know that. Why don't our politicians know that?

Interest rates have to go up to stabilize the economy.
Stock market and economy...
Never do same thing at same time. Let the market fall a little.
If we all want the prosperity of the 1980’s,
then interest rates will have to climb.

Most researchers acknowledge that in their search for patterns to explain market performance, constantly reviewing a small data set may lead to “finding” patterns where none really exist.

It is possible that the real causes for the perceived market return patterns have little or nothing to do with political parties and will ultimately be explained by other factors.

In looking at presidential cycles and market returns, one can make a strong argument that other factors – wars in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, shocks to the economic system (Enron, Worldcom, Lehman Brothers) and other events (9/11 terrorist attack on US East coast) – can outweigh political power at times.

The US is faced with a unique set of domestic problems at this juncture including, but not limited to, the need to restructure entitlements, address tax rates, reconsider immigration policy, establish a national energy policy, and decide how best to provide at least a minimum level of healthcare for all.

If neither party has the political will to work out the needed compromises, the election of a Democrat or Republican to the Oval Office may be irrelevant, as uncertainty, the arch enemy of markets at all times, will continue to prevail.

I wish the talking heads would stop talking about the "low unemployment" without discussing the sick joke of how it is calculated.
