DCS Mirage F1EE Tutorial 5 - Radar A/A Missiles

Today I demonstrate the use of the Matra R530F EM and Matra S530 SARH missiles.

I believe when the lock tone is beeping, you are outside the launch azimuth of the missile. So, you have to centre the target until the beeping becomes solid.

Missile time of flight does not exceed 42 seconds. So if you are out of range, it will be maxed out at 42 seconds. Once you are within range, the missile time in flight will start to decrease. This is a battery limit of the 530 missile family. It will auto detonate right before the battery runs out.

Hi. Small thing. The "F" suffix actually goes on the S530, not the other way around. Also, you can't carry 3 R530s at once. It's either 2 on the wings or 1 on the fuselage.

The auto-launch mode launches the missile automatically as soon as you have tone.
