This is one of the best molds from Siege imho. I want the 3 of them (sideswipe, the G2 redeco and this one). My other favorite is Optimus (the Voyager mold) from which I would like to have a Nemesis redeco. My next favorite will be Omega Supreme I guess. 🤔😁👍🏽😎 Thanks for the review!

Fans think that repaints are sometimes boring, but I mean, come on! They look cool to me, and this Red Alert is no exception in my book! Although he is missing his counterpart Inferno, they always worked together, Red Alert was the "always on alert and worriesome" bot, while Inferno was the more "fun and outgoing" bot ready to put out any fire in his way! Cool, I mean, hot review as always, Paul!

If I’ve learned one thing from Siege, it’s that’s size really isn’t everything. The older figures might’ve been bigger, but the overall quality and engineering of the Siege toys is well worth the price. And they all roughly scale with each other, so it mostly works out.

The pricing on this line is a bit of bummer when compared to previous lines, but the quality of sculpts, especially the bot modes, really make up for it for me. These line are my definitive G1 Cybertronian versions of these characters for sure.

I really enjoy this figure and he is not wimpy... Not sure if you looked into the site but once you get to the bio on the site they changed the character to a medic.

Good review, but I have a minor quibble: the universe datsuns are not a good metric by which to judge the Siege line. Yes, prices have risen cause of inevitable inflation, but Universe Red Alert, along with Sunstreaker and Sideswipe, were massive even compared to their contemporaries. They were the Universe equivalent to WFC: Siege's Ironhide/Ratchet and the upcoming Impactor. And they even have the same leg hollowness as the latter figure.

Did you notice on the back of the box Red Alert's arms at the middle have an extra red strip/band that is missing from the actual figure ? It would have been better with it, don't know why it's missing... come on Hasbro please.

Pass. I'm fine with just Sideswipe. I can't double dip on a smaller 20 bucks deluxe figure repaint.
