I know this website has it's flaws, but I swear to god if it wasn't for youtube I wouldn't have a collection of cool tunes like this lol

This band is making me *FEEL* like I felt when I first experienced something Pink Floyd, or Tool, or Dream Theater... this band is a force to be reckoned with

YouTube is such a smart thing for bands to do. For a good part of the population, buying a hardcopy music collection, even a digital one, is prohibitive... but people always splurge to see their favorite bands live. Moreover, bands make far more profit on live shows than selling albums, so it seems to work out.

I randomly stumbled upon this because I thought the artwork was cool. A year later I am a huge fan, own most of their vinyl, a shirt and have seen them in concert once (so far).

I had never heard them before. To be honest, I thought psychedelic rock was dead.
But now I heard his transformation, and it's amazing.
I consider myself one of the people who have listened to so much music, that they stopped getting goosebumps.
Everything new has become insipid and each time evokes less and less emotions. And all the old ones are cut down to the throat. And now, after about half a year, as I listened to the last one, which somehow hooked me, bored flipping through the recommendations, YouTube gives me this. Wow.

And its sad to think there are a lot of people out there who think that the industry is dead and no one makes good music anymore. Poor souls.

Wow..I am impressed. I'm an older dude who has spent the better part of my days listening to and collecting everything from King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, Peter Gabriel, YES to Coil, NIN V.A.S.T., Tool, Dream Theater, and just about any and all music that had that "special something" 60's, 70's, 80's, 90s and beyond, but haven't heard any new songs worthy of going beyond 10, 15 ....20...30 minutes??? It's been more than 20+ years since I've heard anything like this. Very cool. I'm glad progressive music is still being picked up by and performed by today's younger artists. I believe I saw these guys on Kimmel. It's not easy to create a track that can carry an audience more than 5 minutes let alone 15+ (Ask any of the bands listed above)

Kudos to you King Buffalo! You've clearly had some great influences.

I sincerely hope to hear more of you moving forward.

I don't know why the YouTube algorithm suggested this, but I'm glad they did.

I discovered King Buffalo in 2020 with this epic album. A genuine journey of sonic therapy. This band is highly underrated, anyone who enjoys 70's Sabbath, Zeppelin and Pink Floyd will dig King Buffalo. They have restored my faith in what the definition of real rock/metal is about and can be created by a newer, younger band. I give Dead Star 4 out of 4 Horns
🤘😈🤘

Unreal work from an amazing group. Just found them a few days ago and I'm getting "that" feeling. King Buffalo found a special nerve in my brain and keep sledgehammering away.

Eta Carinae 23:16 <b...p>
Gazing to the emanating light
Blinded by piercing crimson rays
Comets raining by penetrating night
Breaking through the darkening malaise

Haunting smell of sulfur in the air
Radiating through the crimson castle
Gamma rays of light, blistering and white
Shakes the granite chapel down to nothing

Echoes ringing as the tower comes down
Everything left has turned to dust
Scattering flashes through the dead of the night
A jubilant glow flows from your eye
Viridian rays align
Viridian rays align

Shades of violet creeping over the sky
Solar wind sweeps away the dust
Shattering anchors under crumbling stone
Beaming brightly from your eye
Viridian rays align
Viridian rays align
