This Yurt Tent from Ozark Trail (Walmart) is the cheapest yurt I could find that could fit my family. I'm taking a first look at this tent to find out if it great deal or a waste of money.

My son goes to Burning Man every year and he loves this tent as it holds up to the wind well.

For some odd reason, there's no like option but...i did notice some additional modifications anyone can make this tent better for those who don't have thousands of dollar's to spend...such as to weather proof the tent...try adding an overhead tarp, large enough to completely cover the tent...then use an additional tarp for underneath it to keep the floor dry. You can also add rolled insulation rolls to make it a hot tent for colder weather too. The possibilities are endless. And it wouldn't take much to also toss in a portable wood stove as well...just by adding some heat protection on either side you wish to install the stove.

it can be waterproofed I can buy seem tape and waterproof spray to spray all the seams on outside and spray the floor outside etc so i can buy all the stuff to waterproof it plus buy a huge tarp to put over top on outside and another tarp to put on ground and tarp inside on floor to make sure water doesnt get thru floor i like the tent

Would just seam sealer do the trick or would adding a tarp with sealer help ?

The reviews I read on WalMart/Amazon said the tent pole was too hot to touch, the entire tent was way too hot and when cell phones were left inside during the day, they overheated.
And I really want to give this tent t a try anyway.

For $110 pop it up in the backyard let the kids play in there in the spring and summer its cheap enough if the got a whole summer out of it camping in it say 2 or 3 nights a week.(weather permitting) To me that is a great deal!

If I get one I would cut a piece of plywood for the table and cut the center hole out. That way you got a hard surface for the top.

Checked the Walmart site and found description. "Seam-Taped rainfly with built-in awning for added weather protection". Probably a slight exaggeration.
