Thanks for explaining what it does chk
I wanted to know how u change the mode from DC to AC
When I turn to Volts it shows DC, and I press the Mode button the screen goes blank

I think you'll find that the extended plastic sleeves over the banana plugs on the leads are to prevent fingers from accidentally contacting dangerous voltages, & the random numbers when the meter is switched on without anything connected is because it's on with nothing connected - it's in the user instructions. Boring as it seems, everyone should read them.

Do you happen to know how you can deactivate that flashing LED? I see you call it a contactless voltage detector, but mine keeps flashing even when the device is powered down and it drains the batteries very fast.

ahahaha mine came with caps that were stuck on soooo hard i almost thought you used the cables in reverse!

Nice short review! I see that this meter can measure frequency, what is max frequency it can measure? 'cause my DMM tops at 20kHz, but I saw a few that go well into MHz range

This multimeter can not test LEDs for any reason...
