Russell Stannard - a lot has changed with SnagIt and probably Jing since you did this video. I appreciate how easy you show us that it is to make a training video. Years ago I liked Jing. However, at that time, you couldn't save a Jing video in the format needed for saving to YouTube. You needed SnagIt or a paid version of Jing (no longer available) to make videos for YouTube.

Great tutorial. I have problems with the quality of my snagit video..it comes out blurry after you've recorded and saved it. How do I improve the quality please?

I had some confusion about how to use Snagit and whether or not I could do a video capture as well as how to upload to YT and whether-or-not I needed Jing and Screen Cast in addition to Snagit, you have answered all those questions. I have the latest Snagit and I don't have the easy use of the application being at the top of your screen! It is hard for me to record when I have a full screen and need to record something. unless there is a hot key that will bring it up i am not aware of. Anyone now of a hot key or how do I get it at the top of my screen?

is it possible to gray out/blur parts of the video? for example; I'm making training videos and don't want users to view a certain security function but I do want them to see everything else. I want to blur out the security function, which is a small section of the video. thoughts?

Hi, thanks for your video. I have a question to ask regarding the audio recording. Let's say you're recording a group video chat and the audio is coming out of your laptop speakers, is that effective and does Snagit record audio from the computer, or should I find an alternative device to record the audio separately?
