My wife was hospitalized after a serious accident. She was slowly healing, and she told me that the nurses would hide in her room to avoid the Karens and Chads on the floor.
Did I mention my wife is a sweetie? The nurses loved her.

If I were in Congress I would write a bill to pass a law that literally makes it illegal to do something like block another critical patient from getting the help they need. I would make it a class 3 felony and title it under criminally negligent homicide. Oh wait there is already a law to prosecute people for things like that we just don't enforce it in this country anymore

5:21 "Do not shake nauseous people unless you want to get vomit on yourself."

My mom got pregnant with me during her second year of law school, and took her final exams that year with morning sickness. That was back in the sixties, when women were usually shut out of law schools altogether; Mom had had a difficult time finding a school that would take her, despite a stellar college record. So she didn't expect much leeway from them to deal with pregnancy concerns, but some things are non-negotiable.

She got up and quietly went to the front during one of her exams, to ask the proctor for permission to go to the bathroom because she felt nauseous. The proctor refused, implying snarkily that he thought Mom was just looking for an opportunity to cheat on her exam anyhow (which she never needed to do; her grades were exceptional anyhow). With exquisite precision and timing, while he was insisting to her that she was perfectly all right and morning sickness was really all in her head anyway, she leaned forward slightly and put it all in his shoes.

She never had problems getting a bathroom pass again during that year's finals. I think the proctors were afraid that she could do it at will or something, instead of simply having fortunate timing and knowing how to use it.

I was working a side gig at a hospital when I was a young underpaid deputy when we were called for a similar situation... an entitled woman preventing staff from pushing a gsw victim to trauma surgery because "they shouldn't take care of a Mexican before her kid". Her kid had a broken forearm but he was joking around and not in danger. She ended up pushing the stretcher so hard, she caused it to tip over. Staff was doing CPR on the stretcher at the time BTW... The GSW victim was returned to the stretcher in full cardiac arrest and died on the table.

It was determined that the fall caused his heart, already damaged from the bullet, to suffer irrepairable damage. Crazy woman was arrested, charged with manslaughter and sentenced to 6 years. And also got sued by the young man's family after both the Coroner and the Surgeons testified that his original wound, while serious, was very fixable.

Glad you're recovering.
For the last story, give the dead patient's family Karen's information so they can press charges on HER!

A few hours after getting discharged from giving birth to my daughter my husband took me to the ER because I had chest pains and a tell tale headache. My MIL brought our daughter over so I could breast feed her. I remember my husband asking if there was a “room” available, even just curtain coverage so I could breastfeed. I was actually given a room which surprised me. Fast forward 2 hours I’ve been seen but I’m waiting for test results. I tell my husband I have a feeling I’ve been called but we missed it. My husband offered to go ask, I told I’m only if there was no line. I was right they wanted another test. I ended up being hospitalized with preeclampsia.
Moral, just be polite and reasonable. Not just in hospitals but anywhere.

Last story. As someone who works in healthcare, I’ve seen several people die even with CPR due to the timing. That Karen should have been charged with murder because she literally caused someone to die because of her entitlement.

There was this one entitled karen that was so upset that they didn't get a DarkFluff video for a week, so she went to his house, and caught his illness. Serves her right.

I’m so glad you got better, Fluff!

Also, does anyone else just get really relaxed when they listen to Fluff? Like, this guy’s got a smooth voice, I love listening

I saw a karen who was lucky security got to her in time. She was blocking an ER and the guy behind her had an infant that was very obviously not breathing right. Security got to the karen seconds before the frantic dad would have punched her out. Saw the guy later and found out his baby was having little one's first ever asthma attack. Baby was okay though.

Glad you're back and okay. My husband just got out of the hospital after a solid week. 5 strong EMTs had to carry him (sheet over him since he didn't have on clothes in bed) and put him into the ambulance. When I got there, he was in a treatment room and he looked like death warmed over. He was dehydrated and they had trouble with the IV. The doctor wanted him in ER due to some tests being WAY off and there were no beds up there. So, my beloved spent the first night in the ER, the nurses keeping a sharp eye on him. They still didn't have a bed in ICU the next day so they put him on a surgical floor and had the nurses doing 15 minute checks for the first 3 days. I'm unable to come up there due to my own health so I hung out on the phone with him. He said there was a patient down the hall that was raising all sorts of ruckus. The nurses would duck into my husband's room just to look busy because the patient was a Karen and mean as a snake. My husband is a cute, short, heavy, jolly looking Santa and he's the guy all the nurses love and do rock-paper-scissors to get to take care of. This was the third time in 2 months he was there and it's a joy to have them all love him so much. And, even though there are two closer hospitals, this one is 100% all private rooms so he can get rest and not have to put up with someone in the other bed. He's okay now, mostly, got out yesterday and is still on rest and reoperation. The Karen never did shut up unless they gave her meds to quiet her. He's SO glad to be home.

The last story is also featured on several other channels like this. According to those, OP says the autopsy said CP had an abdominal aneurysm so most likely he would have died anyway. Regardless of what he died from, Karen’s actions were criminal.

First story I agree with totally. It can happen even without a Karen. I was in the hospital, felt ok, tried to eat, and as a friend entered the room I smiled and gave up what I'd eaten. That's how you can tell a true friend, he dropped his stuff, grabbed a pan, and helped me.

Also, when it comes to nurses I think it is just about the noblest profession. Mom was a nurse, her sister was a nurse, her daughter my cousin is a nurse and two other cousins. My aunt's great grandson is in nursing school and I am so proud of him. He has some school aid, but I have privately offered him some help if he needs it. Someone someday is going to be lucky having him care for them.
