How to Apply Natural + Flawless Foundation | Clinique

Start with cleansing your skin with the Clinique Liquid Facial Soap for your skin type. Step 2 of the Clinique 3-Step System is exfoliation. Using a cotton pad, sweep Clarifying Lotion, a liquid exfoliator, over skin to remove any dead skin cells that could make your foundation dry and flaky. Finally, apply your favorite moisturizer from the skin care collection. Now that your skin is prepped, apply dots of the Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer where you need coverage. Use your fingers to blend up and outwards, starting from the center of your face. For extra coverage, use a patting motion. It’s that fast and easy to get natural and flawless foundation!

I don't get all the negative comments. I thought she looked great, and so refreshing to see somebody applying just a little foundation for a natural look rather than caking it on and using far too much like so many YouTube videos do. I was surprised at blending with fingers but the end result looked lovely

I have to disagree. For a liquid foundation Beyond Perfectiong is on the thicker side and any 'on the thicker side' liquid concealer/foundation is not meant to be applied with fingers. Especially if you have normal/dry skin. It doesn't blend well that way. I tried both brush and sponge, and found the best method to be damp sponge for a natural look, to even the skin tone. If you need more coverage: first brush, then set it with sponge.

Which Clinique moisturiser is not too oily. My cafe doesn’t take Dramatically different and Moisture Surge very well. Sometimes I have an acne breakout after using them (unless I’m not meant to use them daily). But without moisturiser, some parts do feel dry 😞 so what do I do? 🤷‍♀️
