Bull Moose Fight: How it Goes Down
A big bull moose (note the fracture/hole in his right antler paddle from another fight, and also a broken tine) browses quietly until another bull is seen nearby. The two start their head wag approach, and after sizing each other up, decide to fight. Short but furious and so intensely powerful, it's a wonder nobody was injured. At one point the darker bull does lose a shard/tip of a tine, but other than one wounded ego/pride, no casualties this round. They ended up bedded down just a few yards from each other. The escape shown in slow motion after the one real time angle shot. (The background sound is the raging creek nearby.) Enjoy and if you like, please subscribe!
Thanks for watching our channel, we are the husband/wife team of Rick and Libby Libbey, (Libby squared), New Hampshire wildlife photographers (and part time Alaska.) It is our passion to document wildlife of any kind, but moose are at the top. In New Hampshire we spend a lot of our spring/summer hours in kayaks photographing loons and moose in the waters of New Hampshire. And hike many miles in Alaska seeking all manner of wildlife in the fall.
