Novak tops the entire masters 1000 chart in every possible category now imaginable, except for this one! Lol He only needs 7 masters match wins to tie Nadal and 8 to surpass him! Considering that Nadal is very close to retirement and probably won't play that many more masters 1000 events (if any at all tbh...), then consider Djokovic permanently topping this chart sometimes during clay chunk of the season next year for a very long time (by permanently topping i mean without giving it back and forth to Nadal occasionally...)

Also i'm very curious to know how his resume stacks against all these champions, who were peaking during 80's and 70's era overall! And i'm not talking match wins and titles here, i'm talking about things like quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals made, matches played (not necessarily won), win-loss percentage, wins against top-10, most masters equivalent of pre-90's era won in a single season and things like that!

It is absolutely astounding that Rafa has won more Masters 1000 matches than Novak (406 to 399). Six of the masters 1000 tournaments are played on hard courts - and only 3 are played on clay courts. Novak has a 2 to 1 advantage on court surface at the masters 1000 events... and still somehow - Nadal has won more matches than Djokovic. Utterly astounding.

Imagine how huge Rafa's lead would be if that court surface advantage was 2 to 1 in his favor.
