Okay my guess is that the calico and the kitten are siblings (not just because of the song, but because of their matching braid), and that the black cat standing over them is one of their parents. The kitten idolizes their sibling, especially for their fighting abilities, but their parent seems to be unhappy about this - likely because they dislike their child, which they use to justify their physical abuse (which is where the scratch the calico got came from). The calico finds solace in their kittypet friend, and tries to keep up a happy face for their little sibling, but as they get older the kitten realizes the misery of their situation and the pain the calico was hiding from them, reflecting on their memories and moments that didn't quite make sense or add up to them (why is their sibling bleeding? why are they brushing it off like just that?) and most of all that their parent isn't a good person, and things aren't as tranquil and peaceful as they seem, now that they're all grown up. It's possible that the calico never even fought anyone, and was merely coming up with stories to explain the injuries they suffered from their abuse.

An alternative reading is that the kit is the child of the black cat, and the black cat is the mentor to the calico, and the kitten idolizes them anyway which the mentor does not approve of because they see their apprentice as despicable, annoying, weak, whatever justification they have in their head for their abuse. All other plot beats apply to this second reading.

The tortoiseshell is a warrior who visited the nursery a lot, as she likes kits. One of the kits started looking up to her! One day the kit snuck out and watched her fight. She made him go back to camp. However, the mother of the kit blamed her for taking him out of camp too young! She attacked her out of the camp one day. Eventually she stopped going to the nursery until the queen went back to the warriors den. The kit felt betrayed, and was a warrior at the end of this animation meme! (Did I guess it well? Because I think I am entirely off…)

I’m guessing the kit w/ braid is the younger sibling, half-sibling or relative of the tortie cat? Braids seem to look up to Tortie a lot but seems nervous of Braids/their parent who doesn’t seem to like Tortie that much.

Tortie also seems to fight for entertainment I guess, if we take the positions of the cats literally and if not I’m guessing they are a guard or soldiers of some kind?

As a teenager/adult Braid seems to come across Tortie confiding in a cat with a collar about something that upsets them (possibly fighting? They might be forced to do it). This causes Braid to retroactively see some of their memories of Tortie differently, like when they returned home after getting what looks to be a nasty scar.

Honestly I’m not quite sure what the setting is since, according to the description, these are human ocs as cats.

My guess at the story is (and yes I did make up names for the characters to avoid confusion):

Not long before this takes place, another clan invaded the camp and the Calico'paw fought bravely to protect the kits. Braid'kit decides that he wants to be just like her. As the kit runs up to his idol, burying his nose her fur, his mother, Amber'heart shoots Calico'paw a petrifying glare.
Calico'paw knew something that the kit didn't, and Amber'heart knew that her secret was dangerously close to being revealed.
One night, when Braid'paw had just finished his first training session, he noticed that Calico'paw was sitting in a hidden place just outside of the camp, crying with a small kittypet. Just as Braid'paw was about to walk over he remembered all the times that Calico'paw had greeted him, she had a new wound every time. That moment, he realised something was wrong... Very wrong...
